Melanie Janine Brown (born 29 May 1975), known professionally as Mel B, is an English singer, songwriter, rapper, television personality, actress and author. Brown rose to prominence in the 1990s as a member of the girl group Spice Girls, in which she was nicknamed Scary Spice.
