VirtualMIDISynth
Making SoundFonts easy to use: sound banks that noticeably improve the sound of your Kar and Midi files.
VirtualMIDISynth is a MIDI synthesis program that installs as a Windows driver, exposed as a standard MIDI output device — the simplest way to use it on a PC (x64). Compatible with Windows XP / Vista / 7 / 8 / 10 / 11 (x86 and x64). The software is self-contained and doesn't change any other setting on your system.
Installation
For MIDI programs, choose "Run as administrator" (right-click the program). Installation is straightforward, no restart needed, and on first launch the software shows this window. The cross (or "+") on the right lets you pick up your SoundFont banks so they're listed here too.
MIDI Map setup
In the "MIDI Map" tab, set up your MIDI outputs and choose "CoolSoft_VirtualMIDISynth" as the default.
Options setup
In the "Options" tab, find your sound card's output, then remember to apply. You should then find the VirtualMIDISynth driver and assign it to all your MIDI applications.
